So I awake at about 3a.m to my puppy whining it was awful . Being as that it was 3 in the MORNING!!!! I ignored her and went back to sleep. When I finally got up at 7 a.m I found doggy surprise all Over my balcony. I could have passed out from surprise (I honestly didnt know rather to scream or cry. So I grab a leash and took her for a walk oh yeah she was ill. I've noticed closer to the summer she will get sick (talking to the vet she assured me that it was normal and just let her get over it.) So I couldn't just give pup a shot and it all be over DARN. Well I gave her a nice soft bed all day so she could rest and with a homemade recipe from SCHI of rice and oats her Tummy was feeling better in No time . She is still a little tired (I would be too if all that came out of me ..lol) Here's how I made the recipe I just boiled some plain white rice Approx 1 cup, and added that along with Raw oats to her regular dog food.. Of course I have a large dog so you may need to lower the amounts depending on the weight of your dog. I seem calm now but when it happened I was frustrated , tired and worried all at the same time Image that along with the fact that I'm OCD when it comes to cleaning .Well hair pulling aside Pup is doing great thanks to her Aunties recipes.
Enjoy (BARK!)

This reminds me of those nights when the kids would get sick and I had to change the sheets. I couldn't stand dealing with it in the morning so I would remake their bed with clean sheets, and take the yucky ones and throw them in the washer (the sheets, not the kids, lol!).
ReplyDeleteMy friend did not like getting up in the middle of the night, so she said she'd just have the kid sleep in a sleeping bag or on the couch and wash the sheets in the morning.
Not me, I wanted that smell outta there!
Awww I hate when the furbabies are sick. I have been there. I have learned through experience it easier to get up than to clean that up!! It was one of those lessons I learned the hard way :-(((
ReplyDeleteHOpe the pup feels better. Poor thing. Thanks for the recipe...I will have to try that sometime for our doggie.
